When you set out to design, you must know where you are going with a project. The path is not important at this step, only the destination. The path will come through the design, as long as the goal is kept in mind during the process. If you do not know where you want the design to go, it will show in the finished product.

In design, there are no "happy accidents". "Happy accidents" happen on the path to the design goal. They are not the design goal.
