I know that I'm as tall as I'll ever get... and I know that I'm as tall or taller than my parents. I'm as tall as my aunts and uncles. I'm 24 and that won't change.

So then why do I feel that I'm not grown up...

I know more than I did yesterday, and less than I will tomorrow. My body is constantly changing, and creating itself anew. Cells are born, cells grow old, cells die. Every seven years my body has created itself again... and yet, I'm not a new person, because I don't get any new brain cells.

When will I feel grown up enough to accept the mantle of the world from my parents? When will I feel that I can shoulder the responsibilities of adulthood? When will I feel that I deserve it?
