Zeitgeist
Naturalistic Theory states that progress and change in scientific history are attributable to the general intellectual and cultural climate or spirit of the times, which makes some people more receptive than others to ideas which seem to spontaneously manifest everywhere. This theory implies that cultural evolution only occurs when the spirit of the times decides that the time is right
The Earth creates its own specific electromagnetic waves which resonate constantly at a level anywhere from 5 to 50 Hz in the ELF band. These waves, known as the Schumann Resonance, resonate between the ionosphere and the Earth's surface.
The population of the Earth is slowly but inexorably approaching the number of neurons in an adult brain. (Between 20 billion and 50 billlion)
Douglas Rushkoff, author and columnist, has proposed that once the number of humans on earth coincides with the number of neurons in the brain, the Human population will become collectively networked through the Schumann Resonance, and the Earth's neural network will awaken.
Could these seperate events be coming together, thus creating or influencing the Zeitgeist or spirit of times? As we get closer to becoming a collective network, will ideas manifest more often in the population? |
