Why is it that the less you do all day, the hungrier you are?
All that I do all day is sit. I sit on my way to work, I sit at work all day, I sit on my way home, I sit in the evenings, and then I lie down to sleep. I'm not doing anything physical right now, as I don't have the time to squeeze it into my busy schedule of sitting. Hopefully, next week, when they move our hours to 8:15 to 5:15 I'll be able to get some exercise in before work. Right now, though, I can't get to work earlier than I already am. I'd have to leave my house at 4:30 in order to get in some exercise before work... which means that I'd be getting up at 3:30... which means that I'd be going to bed at 7:00 so that I could accomodate the fatigue from exercising, which ultimately means that I would get home at 6:00 and go to bed an hour later.
That sounds terribly fun.
So now that I'm sitting all day with a little bit of lying down thrown in there all that I am anymore is hungry. I eat two eggs and two pieces of toast for breakfast, then I'm starving at lunch and eat the cheapest meal deal in the cafeteria which, right now, is a Double Cheese Burger, Fries and a Drink, and then I get home and I'm starving for dinner and so I eat a sandwich with turkey and cheese and a big bowl of Ramen.
All that I do is eat and sit. And the sitting makes me so hungry that I want to eat even more. How are all of these other people doing this job not fat?
It's only been 2 1/2 weeks and I can already tell that the pants that I bought 3 1/2 weeks ago are getting tight... This can't continue. |
