    Anonymous   Unrealized Potential

My girlfriend watered my neighbors' plants and then they moved out the next week. That should be a lesson for us all.

Anyway... do you ever get the feeling that you won't live very long? We're told that we should expect to live at least into our late 70's and probably into our 80's, but I've been wondering if mine will be more like my early 30's. Sadly, it's not because I'm living large and going out in a grand explosion... no John Belushi, no Jim Morrison. Mostly it's because I don't think I have the energy to go for sixty more years. I think I matured at a young age and I've already had an adult's mind for a long time. Now my health is slowly falling apart (I mean, I had shingles in high school!,) my career isn't going anywhere, and I think I'm just going to fade away.

I think this all just sets it up for The Guy with Unrealized Potential Who Dies Before He Ever Found His Place.

I used to think I was going to be Great. Now I'm thinking it might have to be Tragic.
