I have these little glitches in reality. My skin gets all tingly and my mind makes some wiggly leap and suddenly I can see things that would go nicely in alternate universes. For example, what if underground parking garages just keep on going down forever? The elevator buttons say four levels, but I've only been down three. I don't have any proof that there's ever a wall. Like, maybe you would be leaving late at night and just decide to see how far down it goes. You go around in circles five or six times before you realized that you had gone too many and then ...?

I found out that my boss keeps his classic car down there. It just sits there and no one knows about it. Imagine if there were an earthquake that destroyed civilization, how far underground it would be. The survivers would never have any idea of it's existence.

What are we missing right now, just below our feet or just around the corner?
