So Travis and I went and saw The Dark Crystal tonight at The Inwood. I never saw it in the theater when I was a kid, as it was deemed too frightening for my sister and I. I didn't see it for the first time until college... which is not the same thing as seeing it in a theater.
hey had this raffle before the movie began. There's a unique number on every ticket stub.
Do you see this?
If this number had been 027657 instead of a 027656 I would have won whatever they were giving away (the prize is irrelevant, it's the winning of the prize that's important). See that, a 7 instead of a 6! It's the last freaking number. If I had let the girl behind me in line cut in front of me I would have been the proud recipient of some random DVD... plus I could've looked at her ass while she was in front of me.
Some guy in line randomly came up to me while I was paying and asked me how I felt about the movie. This was after I had heard him say "What do you think about the movie" approximately 3 times. It was on the 4th reiteration that he pointed out that he was asking me. I'd thought he was talking to his friends. Odd. It probably wouldn't have been so strange ifA)He hadn't just magically appeared right next to me, well within my space bubble.B)He had articulated clearly that he was talking to me the first time.C)He hadn't been so seemingly impatient for an answer.D)He had appeared to give a damn for whatsoever I said
And if anyone is interested, on July 16th and 17th the Inwood is playing The motherfucking Goonies!
As Travis and I discussed, I can only hope that it has the terrible looking octupus scene.
