Why do I never seem to learn
That love is wrong and girls are fucking evil
I guess I'll never figure out
    What womankind is all about

"The Last Song I Will Ever Write About A Girl"

So I officially have no date now. In essence I was stood up, although I wasn't stood up on the date. Unfortunately, I saw this coming. Not because I'm a pessimist, but because I'm more acutely attuned to subtle attitudinal fluxes than I will ever admit to. Ergo the Yeats yesterday. Things fall apart; the center cannot hold.

I was ignored throughout the week despite three seperate phone messages left monday, tuesday, and today, in addition to a face-to-face encounter on Wednesday. I wish that I could call such unfoldings atypical.
I'll be at the Landing on Friday drinking away my social rejection if anyone's interested in hanging out with me.

"Friday Afternoon or Friday Night?" you might ask.
    "Both," I respond.
