Whatever happened to the coolness that was Lisa Frank? In elementary school it was all about the Lisa stuff, but then it was all just left behind as we aged. Which doesn't make sense. I look around campus, and it's not as if we've left it behind because we've matured. "College kids just don't do that, it's not the right kind of cool." This is coming from kids who saw college as an excuse to finally exercise their right to wear pajamas to school. In fact, they've all abandoned Lisa for Julius and his friends, and the other creations of Paul Frank. Their tastes haven't matured, they've simply gone from one peer-developed ideal of "cool" to another.

Writing that down has, for the first time, connected the two names. I wonder if these brands are in some way related, or if the designers are in some way related. However, a quick Google search tells me nothing on the subject, with the exception of this girl who doesn't really appear to be much of an authority. I guess I'll have to call Robert Stack.
