As I was heading home, I realized that this coming Wednesday, in Lighting Design, we need to have a research board of pictures that evoke some sort of emotional response to the lighting of The Balcony. The purpose of this seems to lean almost towards the realm of busy work... but I can see the general idea behind the project. Then it occured to me that this is the exact same thing we did on the first or second day of class -- a response collage. I realized that if this were a TV show, this is the point when the people who had been paying close attention to the season, would say, "Ah-ha! They've come full circle!" in response to the end result... however, I've found that this turn of events is much more boring than the dramatic plotting of television... especially when the coincidence seems to be the result of poor planning.
