Taco Cabana always sounds much better than it is. Unlike Taco Bell, which never sounds good; Taco Cabana always seems like a really good idea until you're halfway into your meal, and then you wish that you'd gone somewhere else - like Café Brazil. That's the problem with breakfast. I want some breakfast but I don't want to pay like I'm eating out. Breakfast should be cheap. It's not dinner. It's just a jumpstart to the day. Which is why I went to Taco Cabana and not Café Brazil. You have to tip at Café Brazil. I don't want to deal with that at 6:30 in the morning. Tipping is a dinner thing or a lunch thing if it's business. You don't tip for breakfast, unless it's Sunday.
I've actually been up for a while and considered Taco Cabana a long time ago. But I knew that I didn't want it for a dinner type meal. So I waited until it was closer to a breakfasty time. It was okay I guess. What is a good eat-out breakfast? I'm tired of breakfast sandwiches like my staple Sausage McMuffin with Egg. I guess I got spoiled at undergrad with the diversity of breakfast options. If whatever you got didn't please you, then you went and got something else. I'm tired of these scrambled eggs, I want some cereal, or a waffle or an omelette or something else. There's just not enough diversity in breakfast. Or maybe I'm just tired of food, since nothing really sounds good.
I want some corn flakes. |
