Michel D   What's so great about anonymity?

    16.8.03 -  18:22

I'm not sure. I've been doing this since November, and even when I began I was using the name "Kruxy". Who is the real Kruxy?

    It's this guy...
    Kruxy: The Amazing Monkey Hero
    the Amazing Monkey Hero.

He's my creation... but he's me. It's not like he's an alter-ego. Kruxy acts and reacts like me. It's not even a nickname that I gained anywhere. I gave it to myself. I gave it to myself, because I'd never had a nickname. I do now, relatively. People call me "Monkey" and that's pretty cool. I like it.

Actually, if you go back far enough in the Comments, my name was used once. I considered changing it to "Kruxy" at the time, but ultimately I let it be.

What's so great about anonymity anyway? Does it give me the power or the courage to say things that I wouldn't in real life? Not really. There's nothing on these pages that I wouldn't say in real life. Much of it is more eloquent, but the gist is the same. In fact, if you were to come up to me and ask me about my page(s), I wouldn't deny that they are mine. In real life I would introduce myself. In fact, some of the things on here are things that I would be more comfortable discussing with strangers instead of friends. Anything that I put up that's embarrassing would be more easily shared if I knew that the people reading it couldn't put a face to the embarrassment.

I'm not sure why I posit these questions... seeing them written down doesn't get me any closer to knowing on answer, or even a catharsis.

Who am I really? Well, that guy in the ninja costume is me... pleased to meet you.
