Last night was the third time this week I pulled an all-nighter... so here it is, Friday night, almost 7:00, and I'm so tired. I have to go sit through technical rehearsal for The Marriage of Figaro. Hooray! We're adding costumes and orchestra at the same time... but we don't get to stop for problems because we're treating the orchestra as if they were union (even though they're just a bunch of fucking students like the rest of us), and everyone knows that union gets to go home right when rehearsal is scheduled to be over (the rest of us, they'll keep well passed, but the orchestra is sooooo vewy speshul!) Hey here's a brilliant idea, how about we treat the orchestra just like the rest of crew... I don't remember getting any special concessions for working the pit orchestra when I was still in orchestra. We can start treating them like union, when they're good enough to join a fucking union.
If, through caffeine and self-determination, I forced myself to stay up through the whole weekend, I wonder what kind of designs I would be creating... I'll look into this over Spring Break, but not now.
Oh and if anyone is interested, I'm going to New Orleans over Spring Break. Mardi Gras is the Tuesday before Spring Break, but things are still going on. And I'll be taking a lot of photographic research of the French Quarter for A Streetcar Name Desire. Mainly though, I'll just be enjoying myself. If you are interested, just let me know.
"Wow, She can fly!" "I think it's supposed to symbolize her decent into madness." |
