So I'm at CollegeClub.com looking at people's profiles, when I see something that totally catches me off guard, some girl's discussable "Issues:". It reads "Issues: Abortion (pro-life), Death Penalty (for), Gay-Bi Rights, School Prayer (for)"

Can somebody be Pro-Life and Pro-Death Penalty at the same time?

Sure on one hand it seems like two totally different things: Fetuses v/s Convicts.

But on the other hand it seems like a waffling conflict of interests.

I mean doesn't it really boil down to the decision that killing another human is either right or wrong, not right sometimes and wrong sometimes. Sure you could argue that one death is an innocent baby-to-be, while the other is a convicted murderer. But it's also arguable that babies are not born innocent, a belief upheld by St. Augustine (a frickin' Saint of all people!) What's more is that a dead baby (unbaptized of course) goes straight to hell (not purgatory) where their skull will be used to pave the roads ("Hell is paved with the skulls of unbaptized children...[Damned infants are] young vipers and [to God] infinitely more hateful than vipers" -- Jonathon Edwards (and he was a Calvinist, one of the "friendlier" Christian branches))

Actually, when I look at all of her "Issues", I really start to question what she stands for. Is she for or against Gay-Bi Rights? hmmm... It doesn't say... Let's assume she's for it, or it wouldn't be listed at all (I think that's how CollegeClub works)... okay, then She's also for Organized Prayer in school? This girl needs to sit down and sort out her priorities. She's trying really hard to formulate her own opinions outside of her Catholic upbringing (I didn't make that part up, her religion is listed as Catholic), however she's all for these completely fundamentalist ideas. Jerry Falwell also believes in Pro-Life and Organized Prayer in School, but you'll never see him advocating any Gay-Bi Rights (other than the right to burn in hell for their wicked misdeeds.)

Really, I don't know, I was just wondering

and just in case you doubt anything I've written here regarding this girl, her name is Renee Vasquez, she attends El Centro College, and her CollegeClub profile is rvasquez. If you should decide to talk with this girl, you did not get the link from here.
